The Institute provides related courses mainly in Basic Physiology, Biochemistry, Cellular & Molecular Science, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology. The principle and features in designing the curricula is as follows:

1. Theories and experiments are both highly regarded: In addition to basic courses such as Molecular Biology and Cellular Physiology, there are experimental courses such as Cellular Culture in order to promote experiences in actual practices.

2. General knowledge courses and professional knowledge are appreciated equally: Besides general knowledge courses such as Outline of Marine Biotechnology, professional courses are emphasized in order to educate students to acquire the ability for independent research.

‧ The least credits for graduation in the Institute is 37 credits, including 21 required credits and 16 selective credits.

‧ All professors in the Institute provide "case studies" from I to IV that are distinguished from A to E. Be aware that, before your enrollment, you must consider on personal interest and the goal of the thesis research, and you must talk to your teacher before you enroll appropriate courses.

‧ Graduates in the Institute must complete 4 seminars before applying for oral examination for your thesis. Last seminar must be enrolled and completed during the semester when you attempt to apply for an oral examination for your thesis.
