  • Research Interest
In order to investigate related genes that involve in the cell growth and differentiation, we established a tip of coral, Seriatopora hystrix cDNA library and analyzed their transcriptomes (or Expressed Sequence Tags, ESTs). Among 750 cDNA clones that were picked and subjected to sequencing, 740 were readable and have been annotated by way of bioinformatics technology. In brief summary, a total of 351 ESTs were identified to be orthologous to 280, unique known proteins in LocusLink database (NCBI, USA), 37 ESTs were identified to be matched (E<0.0001) with sequences in dbEST and 352 ESTs were not identifiable.
